The body of mass 800 g initially at rest is acted upon by a force which causes it to move a distance of 4 min 2 sec. Calculate the force applied.

Answer:

m= 800 g= 0.8 kg

s (distance ) = 4 m

t= 2 sec

u (initial velocity) = 0

For finding acceleration , we use

s = ut+1/2 at^2

4 = 1/2 a*2^2

4 = 1/2 * 4a

=) a = 2 m/s^2

Now , it's very simple for us to find Force  by F = m*a

F = 0.8 * 2 = 1.6 N
