Celsius to Fahrenheit :-

 \bf \dag F =  \dfrac{9}{5} ^{ \circ} C+ 32

 :  \implies \sf  \dfrac{9}{5}  \times  - 34 + 32

 :  \implies \sf  - 61.2 + 32

 :  \implies \bf - 29.2 ^{ \circ} F

Celsius to Kelvin :-

 \bf \dag K=  \ ^{ \circ} C+273

 :  \implies \sf  -34+273

 :  \implies \bf  239K

Answer:

Given :-

  • The boiling point of chlorine is - 34°C.

To Find :-

  • What is the temperature in degree fahrenheit and kelvin scale.

Solution :-

\sf\bold{\underline{\bold{\purple{\bigstar\: In\: case\: of\: degree\: fahrenheit\: scale\: :-}}}}

As we know that :

\longrightarrow \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{^{\circ}F =\: \bigg(\dfrac{9}{5} \times\: ^{\circ}C\bigg) + 32}}}\\

Given :

  • °C = - 34

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\leadsto \bf ^{\circ}F =\: \bigg(\dfrac{9}{5} \times\: ^{\circ}C\bigg) + 32\\

\leadsto \bf ^{\circ}F =\: \dfrac{9}{5} \times (- 34) + 32

\leadsto \sf ^{\circ}F =\: \dfrac{- 306}{5} + 32

\leadsto \sf ^{\circ}F =\: - 61.2 + 32

\leadsto \sf\bold{\red{^{\circ}F =\: - 29.2^{\circ}}}

\therefore The temperature in degree fahrenheit scale is 29.2°F .

\sf\bold{\underline{\bold{\purple{\bigstar\: In\: case\: of\: degree\: kelvin\: scale\: :-}}}}

As we know that :

\dashrightarrow \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{^{\circ}K =\: ^{\circ}C + 273}}}\\

Given :

  • °C = - 34

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\mapsto \bf ^{\circ}K =\: ^{\circ}C + 273

\mapsto \sf ^{\circ}K =\: - 34 + 273

\mapsto \sf\bold{\red{^{\circ}K =\: 239}}

\therefore The temperature in degree kelvin scale is 239K .
