In 1891, the Mill- owners' Association of Anmedabad was founded with Ranchhoalal as first president. Bombay had established such an organization in 1875 to represent the interests of the miliowners and Anmedabad was now following suit. In 1894, the Anmedabad stock ex- cnange was founded.
