Yes bone marrow indirectly makes blood cells for the body i.e bone marrow makes two types of stem cells and one of these is hemopoietic which produces blood cells.

  • Erythropoietin is a hormone that stimulates the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. The bone marrow also produces and releases more whiteblood cells in response to infections, and more platelets in response to bleeding.
