Let us learn voice change rules for Descriptive Sentences in Present Indefinite Tense.

Present Indefinite Tense :

  • Active voice form :

  Subject + verb ("s / es" for 3rd person singular numbers) + Object

  • Passive voice form :

  Object + am / is / are + verb ( past participle or 3rd form ) + by / with / to + subject

  • Example 1 :

AV > I eat a mango.

PV > A mango is eaten by me.

Present Continuous Tense :

  • Active voice form :

  Subject + am / is / are + verb + (-ing) + Object

  • Passive voice form :

  Object + am / is / are + being + verb ( past participle or 3rd form ) + by / with / to + subject

  • Example 2 :

AV > I am eating a mango.

PV > A mango is being eaten by me.

Present Perfect Tense :

  • Active voice form :

  Subject + has / have + verb ( 3rd form ) + Object

  • Passive voice form :

  Object + has / have + been + verb ( past participle or 3rd form ) + by / with / to + subject

  • Example 3 :

AV > I have eaten a mango.

PV > A mango has been eaten by me.
