Area of bottom (cross-section) of tank = 20 * 10 = 200 cm²
Volume of water poured into it = 1 litre = 1000 cm³
let the height or depth of water be H cm.
Then volume of water in tank is = area * height = 200 * H cm³
So 200 H = 1000 => H = 5 cm
