Answer:

The cost of milk to fill completely this vessel will be Rs 64.68

Step-by-step explanation:

Given height of the cylinder = 20 cm, and radius = 7 cm

=> volume of the cylindrical part = πr²h

= 22/7 x 7 x 7 x 20

= 3080 cm³

Given height of the cone = 3 cm, and radius = 7 cm

=>  volume of the conical part = πr²h/3

= 22/7 x 7 x 7 x 3/3

= 154 cm³

Hence net volume of the vessel = volume of cylinder + volume of cone

= 3080 + 154

= 3234 cm³

we know that 1000 cm³ = 1 liter

=> 3234 cm³ = 3.234 liter

Cost of 1 liter milk = Rs 20

=> Cost of 3.234 liter milk = 20 x 3.234

= Rs 64.68

karastalvishwa147: But the cone is immersed in side cylinder. So, now plz answer this question....

Answer:

Rs 58.52

Step-by-step explanation:

the bottom of a right cylindrical shaped vessel made from metallic sheets is closed by a cone shaped vessel as shown in the figure.the radius of the circular base of cylinder and radius of the circular base of cone are equal to 7cm. if the height of cylinder is 20cm and height if cone is 3cm,calculate the cost of milk to fill completely this vessel at rate of rs 20 per litre

Volume of container = Volume of Cylinder - Volume of cone

as cone is inserted in cylinder

Volume of cylinder = π r² h

r = 7 cm  h = 20 cm  π  = 22/7

Volume of cylinder  = (22/7) (7)² (20) = 3080 cm³

Volume of cone = (1/3)π r² h

r = 7 cm  h = 3 cm  π  = 22/7

Volume of cone = (1/3)(22/7) (7)² (3) = 154 cm³

Volume of container = 3080 - 154 = 2926 cm³

1 litre = 1000 cm³

Capacity of container = 2926/1000 = 2.926 Litr

Cost Per Litre = Rs 20

Total Cost = 20 * 2.926 = Rs 58.52

cost of milk to fill completely this vessel  = Rs 58.52
