Volume of cylinder-Volume of cone= T .volume.

\pi {r}^{2} h - \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2}h1

 = > \pi( {r}^{2}h - \frac{1}{3} {r}^{2}h)

 = > \pi( {7}^{2} \times 20 - {7}^{2} \times 3)

 = > \pi {7}^{2} (20 - 3)

 = > \frac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 7(17)

 = > 22 \times 7 \times 17

 = > 2618 {cm}^{3}

Volume =2618cm^3

1000cm^3 = 1 litre

Therefore Volume in litres is 2.618 litres

Cost = 2.168 ×20

Answer:

Rs 58.52

Step-by-step explanation:

The bottom of a right cylindrical shaped vessel made from metallic sheet is closed by a cone shaped vessel as shown in the figure. the radius of the circular base of the cylinder circular base of the cylinder and radius of the circular base of the cone are each is equal to 7cm. If the height of the cylinder is 20 cm and height of cone is 3cm. calculate the cost milk to fill completely this vessel at the rate of Rs 20 per litre

Volume of container = Volume of Cylinder - Volume of cone

as cone is immersed in cylinder (as shown in picture)

Volume of cylinder = π r² h

r = 7 cm  h = 20 cm  π  = 22/7

Volume of cylinder  = (22/7) (7)² (20) = 3080 cm³

Volume of cone = (1/3)π r² h

r = 7 cm  h = 3 cm  π  = 22/7

Volume of cone = (1/3)(22/7) (7)² (3) = 154 cm³

Volume of container = 3080 - 154 = 2926 cm³

1 litre = 1000 cm³

Capacity of container = 2926/1000 = 2.926 Litr

Cost Per Litre = Rs 20

Total Cost = 20 * 2.926 = Rs 58.52

cost of milk to fill completely this vessel  = Rs 58.52
