We knew it was useless to go on,since clearly there was no way of getting beyond the headland and no point in going back the way we came since the tide would come in long before we reached the end of the beach.So,our only chance of escape was to find a way up the cliff,which in some places was not very steep.We climb er up rocks in bid to escape the tide which were coming closer all the time.A few minutes passed and we found a narrow path which seemed to lead all the way to the cliff top.But halfway up,we found ourselves in front of a large rock which blocked our path.We looked at each other in dismay.We stand still tired in the meantime thinking ways to get out.Being desperate i started shouting at the top of my voice while waving hoping someone will hear me out,my friend followed.To our surprised my father's face appeared over the top of the rock giving us a feeling of Relief. We both breathe a sigh of relief in unison.My father left us again telling us not to move giving me a little tension but in a short while while he reappeared with two men,one man climbed down a rope which was lowered over the rock.We were then pulled up to safety.
