the brake applied to a car produces a acceleration of 8m/second square in opposite direction of motion if it takes 3 seconds to stop after application of brake then the distance travelled by it in given time will be

Solution:-
Acceleration= (-8m/s)
Time =3 seconds
Final velocity=0
Initial velocity=?

By using the equation:-
v=u+at
0=u+(-8×3)
-u= -24
u=24

Now,
we will find Distance by using equation:-
  =  > {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as \\  =  >  {(0)}^{2}  =  {(24)}^{2}  + 2 \times ( - 8) \times s \\  =  > 16s = 576
 =  > s =  \frac{576}{24}  \\  =  > s = 36
Hence,he travelled 36m
