The brakes applied to a car produce a negative acceleration of 10m/s^2. If the car takes 5s to stop after applying brakes, calculate the distance covered by the car before coming to rest.

see, here we can apply the second equation of  motion which is:
=s=ut-1/2at^2
putting the value of the information
= s=vt+1/2at^2
=s=1/2*10*25
=s=125
