The brakes applied to a car produce an acceleration of 6 metres per second in the opposite direction to the motion . If the car takes 2 seconds to stop after the application of brakes , calculate the distance it travels during this time

0=u+(-6)2
0=u+(-12)
u=12. .......1
2as+u^2=v^2
2(-6)s+144=0
-12s=-144
s=-144/-12
s=12m
