opposite direction to the motion. If the car takes 2sec to stop after the
application of brakes, calculate the distance it travels during this time.

Answer:

a= -6m/s, t = 2a

by using 1st equation of motion, v = u+ at

0=u-12

u=12

by using 2net equation of motion, s=ut+ 1/2at^2

s=12×2+1/2(-6)×4

s=12m

the distance travelled = 12m

I hope it helps you
