brakes r applied, so, a= -6 m/s² , u=0
t=2 sec
using second equation of motion
s= ut + 1/2 at²
=0 + 1/2 x -6 x 2 x 2
= -3 x 4
= -12 m
since, distance cannot be negative, therefore, distance= 12 m
