The brakes applied to a car produce an acceleration of 6m/s2 in the opposite direction to the motion . If the car takes 2s to stop after the applicayion of brakes calculate the distance it travels during this time

Time=2s

final velocity =0

then we apply the 1st equation of motion

v=u+at

so u=12 because multiple times or acceleration then

s=ut+1/2at^2 so

12 (2)+1/2 (-6)2^2

s=12 m ans
