the brakes applied to a car produces an acceleration of 6m/s^2 in the opposite direction if the car takes 2s to stop after application of brakes calculate the distance it travel during this time.

it is given in question that

v=0, a= -6m/s^2, t= 2s

putting these values in equation v = u + at

we got u = 12m/s

now putting this in equation s = ut + 1/2 at^2 (take a = -6m/s^2)

we got s = 12m
