The branch of a land plant growing near water is completely submerged under water. A few of its leaves float on the water. Will photosynthesis occur in these leaves?

Yes, photsynthesis will deffinitely take place on leaves that are floating on the surface of water.

The reason is sunlight, oxygen, water and carbon dioxide all are present to carry on with this particular activity.

The ones submerged below the water surface will not be under going to process of photosynthesis due to absence of various factors.
