Answer:

l = 24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

breadth ( b ) = 8 cm

perimeter = 64 cm

To find : length ( l ) = ?

perimeter ( rectangle ) = 2 ( l + b )

64 = 2 ( l + 8 )

64 / 2 = l + 8

32 = l + 8

l = 32 - 8

l = 24 cm

Therefore, the length  of the rectangle is 24 cm.

So perimeter = sum of all sides
Rectangle = 4 sides ( 2 sides “ length and 2 sides “breadth “ )
So breadth = 8 cm
So total breadth equals to 8 times 2
8 * 2 = 16
One side Length = 64 - 16 / 2
So length = 64- 16 = 48 / 2 = 24
Let’s check
Perimeter = l + l + b + b
= 8 + 8 + 24 + 24= 64 ?
8 + 8 = 16
24 + 24 = 48
16 + 48 = 64
So ans = the length of the rectangle is 24 cm ..
hope it helps
