Breadth = 1/6 × Perimeter

Breadth = 1/6 × 246

Breadth = 41m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
246m = 2(l+42)
246m = 2l + 82m
2 l = 164m
l = 164/2
l = 82m

\underline \bold {Solution:-}

Perimeter of the rectangle = 246 m.

It is given that the breadth of the rectangle is 1/6th time of its perimeter.

i.e.,

breadth = \frac{1}{6} \times perimeter \\ \\ = \frac{1}{6} \times 246 \\ \\ = 41 \: m

Perimeter of rectangle = 246 m

2 ( length + breadth ) =246 m

( length + breadth ) = \frac{246}{2} \\ \\ ( length + breadth ) =123 \\ \\ ( length + 41 ) =123 \\ \\ length = 123 - 41 \\ \\ length = 82 \: m

So, the length of the rectangle is 82 m and the breadth of the rectangle is 41 m.
