b= 45cm

perimeter= 2(l+b)

= 2( 45+15)

= 2×60

= 120cm is perimeter

 \huge{ \underline { \text{Given}}}

  • The breadth of the rectangle is 15cm
  • Length is 3 times of the breadth.

 \huge { \underline{ \text{To \: find}}}

  • The perimeter of the rectangle.

 \huge{ \underline{ \underline{ \text{✿Solution}}}}

Let us assume that,

❖the breadth of the rectangle is x

Therefore,

the length will be 3x = 3 × 15cm = 45cm

We know that,

 \boxed{ \sf{ \blue{ \large{perimeter \: of \: a \: rectangle = 2(lenght + breadth}}}}

According to the question,

Perimeter of the rectangle =

 \sf{ \large{2(15cm + 45cm)}}

 \sf{ \large{ = (2 \times 60)cm}}

 \sf{ \large{ \orange{ = 120cm}}}

 \underline{ \rm{ \green{Hence \: the \: perimeter \: of \: the \: rectangle \: is \: 120cm}}}

Important formulas:-

 \sf{ \large{ \bold{✤Area \: of \: rectangle}} } = (length \times breadth )\: sq.units

 \sf{ \large{ \bold{✤Perimeter \: of \: a \: square}}} = 4a \: \:  \sf{ \boxed{ \blue{ a = length \: of \: the \: side}}}

 \sf{ \large{ \bold{✤Area \: of \: a \: square}}} \:  =  {a}^{2}
