Answer:

Perimeter of the square =4a=4×12.5=50cm

Let the breadth of the rectangle =b cm.

Perimeter of the rectangle =2(l+b)=50cm

=>16+b=25

=>b=9 cm

Area of the rectangle =l×b=16×9=144cm

Question:-

The breadth of a rectangle is 16cm. If the length of the rectangle is 8cm more than the breadth find the perimeter of the rectangle using the formula.

Solution:-

Given,

breadth of rectangle:- 16cm.

Now,

length=8cm+16cm=24cm.

So,

Perimeter=2*(Length+Breadth)

=2*(24+16)cm

=2*40cm

=80cm.

Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle ie 80cm.
