breadth = 4/5xm

length = xm

perimeter = 180m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2× ( a+b)

180=2×(4/5x+x)

90=9/5x

90×5/9=x

10×5=x

50= x

breadth = 4/5(50)

=40

length = 50

Area of rectangle = l× b

Area of rectangle = 40 ×50

Area of rectangle = 2000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the dimensions of the rectangle be:-

• Length = x

• Breadth = 4x/5

Now, the perimeter of rectangle is → 2(l+b)

According to the question:-

→ Perimeter of the rectangle = 180 m

→ 2(l+b) = 180

→ 2(x+4x/5) = 180

→ x + 4x/5 = 180/2

→ (5x + 4x)/5 = 90

→ 5x + 4x = 90×5

→ 9x = 450

→ x = 450/9

→ x = 50 m

Now, dimensions of the rectangle are:-

• Length = x = 50 metres

• Breadth = 4x/5 = (4×50)/5 = 200/5 = 40 metres

Now, area of the rectangle = (length × breadth)

→ Area of the rectangle = (length × breadth)

→ Area of the rectangle = (50 × 40) m² = 2000 m²

Therefore, the area of the given rectangle will be 2000 m²
