Step-by-step explanation:

L= x

B= x-9

then, length and breadth both are increased by 3 cm.

L=x+3

B=x-9+3

=x-6

Area of rectangle=l×b

(x+3)×(x-6) = 84

2x-18 = 84

2x= 84-18

2x=66

x=66/2=33

hence, the lenght is 33-9=24 and breadth is 33
