The breadth of a rectangle is 'b'. Its length is 3 cm more than its breadth. and the length of one of its diagonal is 5b +6.

Subtract the diagonal from area of rectangle?

given that :

breadth     = b

length        =  b+3

diagonal     =   5b+6

 

=  \frac{b(b+3)}{2}

= b^2+3b  -(5b+6)

=b^2-2b-6
