Given :

The breadth of a rectangle is twice its length. If the perimeter is 54 cm.

To find :

Find its length.

Solution :

Let Length = x

Let Breadth = 2x

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(L + B)

➵ 54 cm = 2 (x + 2x)

➵ 54 cm = 2 (3x)

➵ 54 = 6x

➵ x = 54/6

➵ x = 9

➵ x = 9

➵ 2x = 18

Therefore,

Length = 9cm

Breadth = 18cm

✯ Let the length of Rectangle be x .
so,
✯ Breadth will be 2x.

 \sf \bf Perimeter \: of \: Rectangle \: = \: 2(l+b)
so,
\sf \implies 2(l+b)=54 \\ \sf⇝2(x+2x)=54 \\ \sf ⇝2(3x) = 54 \\ \sf ⇝6x=54 \\ \sf \implies \boxed{x=9}

Hence,
»» Length of the rectangle ,l = x = 9cm
»» Breadth of the rectangle , b = 2x ⟹ 2×9 = 18cm
