Question :-

The breadth of a rectangle with perimeter 348 cm and length as 100 cm is

i.) 248 cm

ii.) 74 cm

iii.) none of these

Solution :-

Measurements of rectangle-

Length (l) = 100 cm

Perimeter (P) = 348 cm

Breadth (b) =?

=> Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

=> 348 cm = 2 (100 cm + b)

=> \frac{348 cm}{2} = (100 cm + b)

=> 174 cm = 100 cm + b

=> 174 cm - 100 cm = b

=> 74 cm = b

The breadth of the rectangle is 74 cm.
