Step-by-step explanation:

let length be x

breadth be (x-3)

area of rectangle=l*b

88. =x(x-3)

88. =x^2-3x

x^2-3x-88=0

x^2-11x+8x-88=0

x(x-11)+8(x-11)=o

(x+8)(x-11)=0

x=-8. or. x=11

but length and breadth can't be negative so x is equal to - 8 is not acceptable

perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

=2(11+8)

=2*19=38cm sq
