length=x

breadth=2x/3

perimeter of rectangular garden=40m

2(l+b)=40m

=2(x+2x/3)=40m

=2(5x/3)=40m

5x/3=40/2

5x/3=20m

so, x=20×3/5

x=12

length=12m

breadth=8m
