Let the length of garden will be 'x'.

So, breadth = 2/3 of length

=》 2/3 of x = 2/3×x=2x/3

Perimeter =2×(l+b)

=2×(x+2x/3)

40 m = 2×5x/3

40 m =10x/3

40 m ×3 = 10x

10x = 120

x= 120/10=12 m

Length of garden = 12 m

Breadth of garden = 2x/3= 8 m
