Solutions :-

We have,
Perimeter of rectangular tennis court = 138 m

Let the length be x
So, breadth = x - 7

We know that,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)
=> 138 = 2(x + x - 7)
=> 138/2 = 2x - 7
=> 69 + 7 = 2x
=> 76 = 2x
=> 76/2 = x = 38

Therefore,
Length = x = 38 m
Breadth = x - 7 = 38 - 7 = 31 m

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth
= (38 × 31) m²
= 1178 m²

Answer : Area of rectangular tennis court = 1178 m²

Solutions :-

Given :

Perimeter of rectangular tennis court = 138 m

Let the length of the rectangular tennis court be x
Therefore, Breadth the rectangular tennis court = x - 7

Find the length and breadth of rectangular tennis court :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)
=> 138 = 2(x + x - 7)
=> 138/2 = 2x - 7
=> 69 + 7 = 2x
=> 76 = 2x
=> 76/2 = x = 38

✯ Length = x = 38 m
✯ Breadth = x - 7 = (38 - 7) m = 31 m

Find the area of rectangular tennis court :-

Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth) sq. unit
= (38 × 31) m²
= 1178 m²

Hence,
Area of rectangular tennis court = 1178 m²
