According to given sum,

let the breadth of the room be b . Then the height of the room will be b/2 & length of the room will be 2b .

we know that,

Volume of cuboid(room)=l×b×h

216cubic .cm = 2b×b×b/2

b×b×b=512 cubic.cm

 {b}^{3} = {8}^{3}

b=8cm

h=b/2=8/2=4cm.

l=2b=2×8=16cm.

Hence the dimensions of the room are

16cm×8cm×4cm

:-)Hope it helps u.

Given:

  • Breadth of a room is twice its height and half its length .

  • The volume of the room is 512 cm².

To find out:

Find its dimensions.

Formula used:

Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Solution:

  • b = 2h

  • b = l/2 → 2h = 1/2 → l = 4h

Now,

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

→ 512 = 4h × 2h × h

→ 512 = 8h³

→ h³ = 512/8

→ h³ = 64

→ h = 4

⋆ length = 4h = 4 × 4 = 16 cm

⋆ Breadth = 2h = 2 × 4 = 8 cm

⋆ Height = h = 4 cm
