perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × ( length + breadth )

ATQ

72 = 2 × ( x + x - 2 )

→ 72 = 2x + 2x - 4

→ 72 = 4x - 4

→ 4x = - 4 - 72

→ 4x = -76

→ x = -76/4

→ x = -19

Therefore,

The length of the rectangle is → -19 cm

and the breadth of the rectangle is → -19 - 2 = -21 cm
