Answer:

 12 m and 8 m

Step-by-step explanation:

let the dimensions be x

then L = x and B = 2/3 x

x + 2/3 x = 10/3 x

10/3 x *2 = 5/3 x

5/3 x = 40

x = 12 m

Given :

Breadth (B) = 2/3 Length ( L)

Perimeter (P) = 40 m

To Find :

  1. Length of the rectangular Garden.
  2. Breadth of the rectangular Garden.

Solution :

Let the length of rectangular Garden = L

then it's breadth is 2/3 of length = 2L/3

As we know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( L + B)

then,

2( L + B) = 40 m

2( L + 2L/3) = 40 m

5L/3 = 20

5L = 60

L = 12.

Breadth = 2L/3

= 24/3

= 8m.

The required dimension of rectangular garden is 12 m and 8m.
