the breadth of the rectangle is 4times its length.if the perimeter of the rectangle is 80.find its length and breadth

Here is your answer ---

Let the length be x metres
Then, the breadth = 4x metres

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)
80 = 2(x+4x)
80 = 2×(5x)
80 = 10x
x = 80/10 = 8 metres

LENGTH = x = 8 metres
BREADTH = 4x = 8×4 = 32 metres
