the breadth of the rectangular field is two third of its length if the perimeter of the field is 200 feet the length of the field in feet is ?

let the length be x,,and then the breadth will be (2*x)/3 = 2x/3


Now,

As we know that the perimeter of a rectangle is 2(length+breadth)

200 = 2(x+2x/3)

200/2 = x+2x/3

100 = (3x+2x)/3

100*3 = 5x

300= 5x 

300/5 = x

60= x

Now,

the length of rectangle is x i.e. 60 feet

and

Breadth = (2*60)/3 = 120/3 = 40 feet

Perimeter of rect.is=2(l*b) ,after solution ,is length of rectangle is 60 feet and bredth is 40 feet
