The breaking of a glass bottle and the burning of a matchstick both are irresible change we cannot get back the original object in both cases. What is then the difference between the two

In breaking of a glass the physical properties only get change, no new substances is formed but in the case of burning of matchstick chemical property get changed and new substance is formed i.e the ash.
