The natural environment encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial.The natural environment is another important factor of the macro-environment. This includes the natural resources that a company uses as inputs that affects their marketing activities. The concern in this area is the increased pollution, shortages of raw materials and increased governmental intervention.



Components of Environment: Environment mainly consists of atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and biosphere. But it can be roughly divided into two types such as (a) Micro environment and (b) Macro environment. It can also be divided into two other types such as (c) Physical and (d) biotic environment.


This is true for all parts of the surface of the Earth including the land and the upper parts of the ocean. The four natural resources; soil/rock, air, water, sun; constitute the major components of the physical environment.



Some things in the natural environment can kill people, such as lightning. Ecological units which are natural systems without much human interference. These include all vegetation, microorganisms, soil, rocks, atmosphere, and natural events.
