I think it is "White mans burden". in which western people felt the responsibility to civilise the uncivilized population of the world. For which the native cultures were abolished and replaced with western culture.

The British advocated the White Man’s Burden theory to justify their imperialist and expansionist policy.

They tried to spread their colonies all over the world under the pretext that it was their duty as the white, European, superior race to bring the light of civilisation or Western education and culture to the countries inhabited by the non-Europeans, non-Whites.

A world of hegemony was created where the Europeans were seen as culturally more “intellectual, developed and superior” while the non-Europeans were perceived as racially, and therefore culturally inferior.
