Answer:

The British changed the forest management in India.

It had many effects.

- The natives were banned to enter the forest.

This made them agitate because all of their supplies were provided by the forests only.

- They were not allowed to cut the trees down.

They used to practise jhoom cultivation.

-They were forbidden to shift from one place to other and settle at a place forever.

This was against their nomadic lifestyle.

- There were new rules implied on the groups. They were now controlled by British only.

This made the tribal chief lose their value or importance.

Thanks

Explanation:

(1) Shifting cultivators practice cut down and burn agriculture. In this practice, elements of the wooded area are cut and burnt in a rotation. European foresters regarded this practice as harmful for the forests. They felt that such land couldn't be used for growing trees for railway wood and changed into dangerous whilst being burnt as it may begin a woodland fire.  (2) The reservation of wooded area regions via the British Government also sealed the destiny of many nomadic and pastoral communities like the Korava, Karacha and Yerukula of the Madras Presidency lost their manner of livelihood.

(3) Firms trading in wood merchandise had been given the sole trading rights to trade within the wooded area merchandise of specific regions. They made huge earnings and have become richer. The entire wooden and wooded area trade surpassed directly to them.

4) Plantation owners observed that more and more wooded area land might be cleared for plantations. The British had made it very clear that their device of forestry might be modern forestry, i.e., plantations.

(5) While the forest dwellers were deprived of their right to hunt deer, partridges and a variety of small animals, the Indian Kings and British officials were allowed to hunt freely in the reserved forests.
