Answer:

Lord Cornwallis had created the police system, which was one of the most popular strengths for the British rule.In 1902–03, a police commission was established for the Police reforms under Sir Andrew Fraser and Lord Curzon. However, Indian police laws are based on a British model created 155 years ago and have changed little. India's current police law came into force some four years after an uprising against its colonial masters in 1857 that was brutally repressed. It was designed for foreign conquerors to rule over a native population.British government introduced Indian council act 1861 and created the foundation of a modern and professionalized police bureaucracy in India known as the Indian Imperial Police. Indian Imperial Police was open to Indians in 1920 and the entrance examination for the service was conducted both in India and England.
