the brook symbolises our lives 'journey.it faces many obstacles and heddles during its flow.in the same way we face ups and downs ,joys and sorrows in the course of our lives.the poet compares the early stages of brook to the youthful, zestful life of human when young.the poet describes the brook 's flow as hurrying down the hills and chattering over the stony pebbles.towards the end of the poem it flows calmly, stealing by lawns and grassy fields and sliding by the side of the hazelnut trees.it murmurs in the brambly wilderness under the stars and moon light.this stage could be compared to the matured ripe old age of humans.we normally turn peaceful, calm and wiser in our old age.they also remain a source of help and support for others.in the same way brook remains a source of life for trout and grayling.the brook sustains all that it comes in its way and flows endlessly.
