Answer:

10 m.

Explanation:

Since, the volume is decreased by 0.2% so the Δv/v will be 0.2/100. We know that the bulk modulus B is given as B = - P/(Δv/v) which can again be written as B = -hdg / (Δv/v). The negative sign can be omitted since we already know the bulk modulus and here we require only the magnitude.

Hence, substituting the values we will get the B as 4.9 x 10^7  = h*10^3*9.8*100/0.2 which on solving we will get the value of height as 10 m.

Answer:

Explanation:

Since, the volume is decreased by 0.2%

so the Δv/v will be 0.2/100.

We know that the bulk modulus B is given as B = - P/(Δv/v)

which can again be written as B = -hdg / (Δv/v).

The negative sign can be omitted since we already know the bulk modulus and here we require only the magnitude.

Hence, substituting the values we will get the B as

4.9 x 10^7  = h*10^3*9.8*100/0.2

which on solving we will get the value of height as 10 m.
