Given that,

Frequency of sound = 1200 Hz

Time = ?

we know,

  • Frequency is inversely proportional to time.
  • f   \infty 1 \div t
  • f = 1/t
  • 1200 = 1/t
  • 1200 = 1 ( cross multiply )
  • t = 1/1200
  • t = 0.00083 seconds.

Therefore, the time for one vibration is 0.00083 seconds.

Hope this helps you.
