Step-by-step explanation:

Let the C.P. of 1 pen = Rs. 1

∴ C.P of 12 pens= Rs. 12×1

Hence, given,

C.P. of 12 pens = S.P of 15 pens

∴ S.P of 15 pens=Rs. 12

∴ C.P of 15 pens=Rs. 15

∴ Loss=C.P−S.P

= 15 − 12

= 3 Rs.

Loss % = Loss / CP × 100

= 3 / 15 × 100

= 20%
