Given:

The C.P of 46/7 kg orange is rupees 85

To find:

The cost of 7/2 kg of orange

Solution:

We are given the cost of \frac{46}{7} kg orange, so first we will find the cost of 1 kg orange which is:

∴ The cost of 1 kg orange = \frac{85}{\frac{46}{7} } = \frac{85 \times 7}{46} = \frac{595}{46}= Rs. \:12.93

Now,

The cost of \frac{7}{2} \:kg orange will be,

= [Cost of 1 kg orange] × [give kg of orange]

= 12.93 × \frac{7}{2}

= Rs. 45.25

Thus, the cost of \frac{7}{2} \:kg orange will be Rs. 45.25.
