Given : A statement that CSA of right circular cylinder of equal radius and height is equal to the area of its base & top

To find : Statement is True or False and justification

Solution:

CSA - Curved Surface Area

CSA of right circular cylinder = 2πrh

r = Radius of cylinder

h = height of cylinder

Radius of cylinder = height of cylinder

=>Let  r = h = x

Area of base & top  = πr² + πr²

= πx² + πx²

= 2 πx²

CSA = 2πrh

= 2π (x)(x)

=  2 πx²

2 πx²=  2 πx²

=> CSA of right circular cylinder = Area of base & top  if  radius = height

Hence Given statement is true
