Virginia is the only member of the Otis family who shows no interest in the ghost at all. She does not bother him nor does try to remove the blood stain in the library floor like the other members of a family. This demonstrates her unprejudiced and inclusive attitude towards other. She not only accept the ghost as a fellow inhabitant of the house but she respect his historic position.
Secondly, Virginia is kind hearted, when the ghost tells Virginia that he was starved to death, she offered him a sandwich from her case. In addition the ghost says that he has not slept for 300 years and is very tired, her reaction provide further evidence of her kind and gentle nature.
Finally, Virginia is helpful and generous even when her safety is in this is shown by her willingness to help the ghost, even though she is warned against it.

In other words, Virginia prayed with the Canterville ghost for his redemption. She also cried to express his sorrow for all the crimes he has committed because he is physically unable to shed tears. Evidently, Virginia is successful in her efforts to help the ghost and so the prophecy is fulfilled.
