Given :

★ Capacity of a Closed Cylindrical Vessel of Height 1 m is 15.4 litres .

To Find :

★ Metal Sheet needed to make the Vessel .

Solution :

Volume = 15.4 litre (154/10000)

Height = 1 metre

Formula Used :

\sf{Volume\:of\:Cylinder=\pi{r}^{2}h}

Now :

Volume = 15.4/10000 m³

πr²h r= 154/10000

22/7 r² × 1 = 154/10000

r² = 754/10000 × 7/22

r² = 49/10000

r = √49/10000

r = 7/100 m

Hence , The radius of the vessel is 7/100 m .

Formula Used :

\sf{T.S.A=2\pi{r}(r+h)}

Now :

\longrightarrow\sf{2\times\dfrac{22}{7}\times\dfrac{7}{100}\bigg(\dfrac{7}{100}+1\bigg)}

\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{44}{100}\bigg(\dfrac{7+100}{100}\bigg)=\dfrac{44\times{107}}{10000}}

(4708/10000)

0.04708 m²

Hence , Metal Sheet needed to make the vessel is 0.04708 .
