Answer :

  • breadth is 6m

Given ;

  • The capacity of a rectangular tank is 189 kilolitres. It is 7 m long and 4.5 m high.

To find :

  • Breadth

Solution :

  • Length is 7m
  • height is 4.5m

  • volume of rectangular is 189 kilolitres then 189 × 10³litres
  • 10³litre is 1m³

Then 189 × 10³ litres = 189m³

As we know that

  • volume of cuboid = lbh

where l is length 7m , b is breadth b and h is height 4.5 m

↝ length × breadth × height

↝189 = 7 × b × 4.5

↝ 189 = 31.5 × b

↝ b = 189/31.5

↝ b = 6 m

Hence breadth is 6m

AnswEr-:

\boxed{\mathrm{Breadth\:of\:Rectangular \:Tank\:= 6 m}}

Explanation-:

  • \mathrm{Given-:}

  • The capacity of a rectangular or Cuboidial tank is 189 kilolitres.
  • Length of Tank is 7 m .
  • Height of Tank is 4.5 m

  • \mathrm{To\:Find-:}

  • The Breadth of Rectangular or Cuboidial Tank .

\dag{\mathrm{Solution \:of\:Question \:-:}}

As , We know that -:

  • [ 1000 liters = 1 kilo litre]
  • Then ,
  • The capacity of a rectangular or Cuboidial tank is 189 kiloliters = 189000 liters

We also know that ,

  • [ 1000 liters = 1 m³ ]
  • Then ,
  • The Volume of Tank -: \sf{\dfrac{189\cancel{000}}{\cancel{1000}}} = 189 m³

Now ,

  • \underline{\boxed{\star{\sf{\blue{ Volume_{(Cuboidial\:Tank)}  \: = \: Length \times Breadth \times Height cube.\:units}}}}}

Here ,

  • Length of Tank is 7 m .
  • Length of Tank is 7 m .Height of Tank is 4.5 m
  • The Volume of Tank is 189 m³
  • The Breadth of Tank is ??

Now By Putting known Values in Formula of Volume-:

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm{7 \times 4.5 \times Breadth = 189m^{3}}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm{31.5  \times Breadth = 189m^{3}}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm{ Breadth = \dfrac{189}{31.5}}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm{ Breadth = \dfrac{\cancel {189}}{\cancel {31.5}}}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm{Breadth = 6 m}}

Hence -:

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm{Breadth\:of\:Rectangular \:Tank\:= 6 m}}
