the capacity pf a closed cylindrical vessel of height 1m is 15.4 litres .how mqny square metres of metal sheet would be needed to make it ? ?

Here is your answer,

Given height of the cylinder, h = 1 m

Capacity of the cylinder = 15.4 litres

V = 0.001 x 15.4 = 0.0154 cu m

That is πr2h = 0.0154

r2 = (0.0154 x 7) / (22 ) = 0.0049

Hence r = 0.07 m

Total surface area = 2πr(r + h)

= 2 x (22/7) x (0.07)(0.07 + 1)

= 0.4708 sq m
